What is recycled PET?

Recycled PET or rPET , is obtained by recycling plastic bottles (PET) and transforming them into a yarn and then a fabric.

How to transform plastic bottles into umbrella cloth? Originally, PET is a material made from petroleum that pollutes natural resources when it is not sorted and recycled. However, there is a process that consists of recovering plastic water bottles and other packaging in order to give them a second life :

Recycled plastic (PET) → crushed → cleaned → transformed into granulated beads → melted → stretched into threads → woven into fabric → sewn as umbrella fabric (recycled PET) .

This material comes from the recycling of plastic bottles and thus makes it possible to considerably reduce energy consumption and the harmful environmental impact while manufacturing eco-responsible umbrellas .
